Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry Final Project- Topic 1
How might life have been different for the Logan family if they would have moved north to Chicago to live with Uncle Hammer? Think of a scene from the book and reenact that scene as if the Logans were living in Chicago. In addition to the skit, you must turn in a script.
You will make an iMovie of your skit. This project must be original and creative, organized, and must truly show your knowledge of the characters and the content from the novel. Make sure to be “in character” during the skit and to use dialect like that of the Logan family.
You will use your wikispaces account to create a wiki where your group will be able to collaborate and add information for the final product. You can organize your script on the wiki.
There is a rubric on the back of this sheet explaining how the final product will be graded. You will have some time in class to work on the project, but you must spend time at home researching and planning. You can add the information you find at home to your wiki, where your group can easily access and edit the information.
Mrs. Michael or Mrs. Fritts will meet with your group individually to further discuss requirements and your plans for this project.

White boss: We are going to let you go Hammer. As you can see we have a white person that needs this job.
Uncle Hammer: Ya'll can't be able to do this can you?Voiceover: Are you kiddin' me. Some one might be tasting a little revenge.
White person: You better pack you bags and get your black self out of this office before the end of the day.
White Boss: You heard it Hammer

Little man looks in the book and sees 7 white names in it.
Little Man: These books are new teacher
Teacher: The school is very generous to give us books that are only 7 years old. How old were your books in the south.
Little Man: Twelve other white names was in this here book teacher
Teacher: Sho' ain't better up north than done south. Little man Voiceover: Why would we ever live down south.
Mr. Logan's Job Interview Scene(Bryant Dad, Interviewer Brad
Interviewer: Mr. Logan you are qualified for this job.
Mr. Logan: When should I start coming?
Interviewer: Tomorrow. This job is not secure if a white man shows up you might be gone.
Mr. Logan: I'm gonna take those odds.( Pray to God no white will come down here soon.)
